Other - There is strong doubts over this painting.
- The original owner Witte-Lenoir was a German painter in the school of Paris and he explained that the painting was received as a gift from Modigliani and that it suffered strong damages during the war (II WW) and that he had to strongly restore it.
- Actually nor the surface or the style is coincident with the date he originally provided to the museum.
- Actually the Museum Ludwig has the painting in storage and believe that the painting is by the hand of Witte- Lenoir.

There is another portrait supposedly painted by Modigliani with the same provenance, a portrait of Witte-Lenoir that has more or less the same aspect and it was dated by Witte-Lenoir in 1907:
