- James Alsdorf Coll. Chicago
- ( Roy mentions the property in 1958- already in 1955 exhib)
The sequence follows the published museum, sale, and catalogue record in this investigation. Gaps and uncertain transfers are marked as such.

Link to the sitter
biography
The sitter was born in 1903 and this painting is dated by experts in 1915 so the sitter was 12 years?
Biographers say he lived in Val de Marne (close to Paris) until 1917.
The Letters MC ?
There is a sketch for this painting? at the Barnes coll. in Philadelphia - Parisot has published this drawing at his CR as no. 4/15 but this investigation has no knowledge if he has published the painting.
This is a photo of Radiguet with Cocteau in 1923:

There are other 2 portraits attributed to Modigliani of Radiguet:
Raymond dated in 1915
Raymond dated in 1910
Some experts even mention the claim recorded in secondary literature that Radiguet shared the love of Hastings with Modigliani and that his novel "the devil in the flesh"
was related to that situation.
Points recorded against that identification:
1.- Hastings was not married to Modigliani
2.- Hastings was long
divorced
3.- Radiguet was 12?
4.- Hastings was far from the sinner affection reflected in the novel.
Where sources disagree, both readings are given. This is a working research page, not a catalogue raisonné.
