Tones. - face: light ochres; hair: ocher; bodice: shadows; background: ochres, blacks and blues.

The harmony of colors, the mysterious and aristocratic expression of the face portray Beatrice Hastings.

The painting is supported by the discreet cubism that makes the paintings of Modigliani of that time even more intense.

Nothing that could give a clue of the origin or history of the painting.
