Amedeo Modigliani — investigation file

The Lugano exhibition of 1999 assembled a large number of works without substantially altering the established checklist.
The curatorial credits are of documentary interest:

1.- Rudy Chiappini as principal curator.
2. MR as associate curator
3.- Archives Légales Amedeo Modigliani / Christian Parisot / Guastalla brothers as suppliers of documents and original photographs.
4.- M. Christine Decroocq as compiler of the paintings catalogue.

In 1999 Parisot and MR both appear in the credits under Rudy Chiappini. Chiappini was later associated with the Genoa exhibition controversy in which MR alleged that fakes had been shown.

Drawings shown in the exhibition are omitted from this extract.
